Consumer prices in the
eurozone fell in March but the rate of deflation eased compared
to February, data from Eurostat showed on Thursday.
The annualised inflation rate stood at -0.1% in March
compared to -0.2% in February, according to Eurostat's flash
estimate.
Prices in the services sector rose 1.3% in March compared
to 0.9% in February, while prices of food, alcohol and tobacco
rose by 0.7% in March compared to 0.6% in February.
Energy prices weighed, falling 8.7% in March compared to
-8.1 % in February.
