As we climbed Mount Crumpit i had both the girls in front of me climbing so if they fall i would catch them. Soon Cindy got up on a ledge and helped Raven up.
"I found a door!" Cindy said excitedly
"Stay where you are until i get to you both!" i yelled i continued to climb almost slipping when i climbed onto the ledge. I saw the door and shivered in anticipation on what was to come. I knocked on the door but no one answered. i opened the door and we walked inside. i was lost for words i knew he was good with machinery but i never knew how good until i saw this master piece. i felt something rub my leg. i looked down to see my dog Ruby. "ruby when did you get here?" i asked almost dazed.
"mommy where is daddy?" Raven said i looked at her ever since she met grinchy she has called him 'daddy'
"um daddy is in here somewhere" i said looking around once more i took both there hands and whistled for ruby to follow. sounds that were faint earlier became louder as we got closer and closer to a clearing there were blenders blending screws. a lot of other things but then i looked at the large creepy clapping monkey. there in the middle of the clanging clangers was the grinch trying to get the noise of the Whobilation's music. i was tempted to join him but that wasn't the best idea.
"Mr. Grinch?" Cindy asked but he didn't seem to hear her.
"Grinchy?" I asked louder he didn't hear me.
"DADDY?" Raven yelled at the top of her lungs that he heard. he stood straight and held the clangers together against the machinery's functions. soon smoke came out of the monkeys head and it stopped working all together.
"hello little girls and lady" he said with a sneer his eyes lingering on my caked neck i looked down my hair hiding my neck
"excuse me" Cindy said but he ignore her
"How dare you enter the Grinch's lair the impudence! the audacity! the unmitigated gal! you called down the thunder now get ready for the boom! gaze into the face of fear!" he said with his deep voice that sent shivers up and down my spine his voice boomed over and over in the cave. i giggled at his silliness
"Mr.Grinch my name is Cindy Lou Who This is Ms. Faith Eva Ann Rose Who and her daughter Raven Amelia Penelope Elena Who" she introduced us he seemed to hesitate but his arrogance returned.
"See even now the terror is welling up inside of you!" he said smugly
"we're not scared" we said in unison
"Denial is to be expected in the face of pure evil"
"i don't think so"
"Doubt? another unmistakable sign of the heebie-jeebies! Now your doomed!" he jumped off to the left and hopped back from the right with a white shirt on. "run for your life before i kill again!" he said dramatically ripping the shirt in half at this point i couldn't contain my laughter and was gripping my sides as the girls laughed with me. he seemed dumbfounded "i'm a psycho!" he said putting the shirt in his mouth and thrashed it around like a dog with a chew toy. i laughed more at this point he seemed desperate and annoyed. "Danger! Danger!"
"Daddy i think you need a time out" Raven said putting both hands on his face
he stood up straight with a small blush on his face that was barely noticeable. "kids these days so desensitized my movies and television" he mumbled "What do you want" he said annoyed at his failed attempt to scare us.
"Mr.Grinch we came to invite you to be holiday cheer mister" Cindy said excitedly
"Holiday-Whobie-What-y?" he asked confusion on his face.
"cheer mister cheer misters celebrate with friends" she explained
"that's a good one!" he said laughing as he walked away
"Grinchy i know you hate Christmas but why not be the bigger person and show Augustus who is the better Who" i said trying to convince him. he turned to me dull anger in his eyes
"Only one person is allowed to call me that" he said low
"well listen up Mr. Amnesia I. AM. THE. ONLY. ONE. THAT. CALLED. YOU. THAT." i said very slowly so he could comprehend it better my anger seemed to make my fire power act up and set my hands ablaze i quickly put them out and bit my lip. "sorry" i said
"Is that really you faith?" he asked lowly
"Who else do you know who's initials spell fear?" i asked
"You've changed what happened? and you have a kid and why does she keep calling me daddy?" he asked
"you have too because you left you left me numb and Augustus drugged me and put someones baby juice in me and i don't know why she calls you daddy" i said
"HE WHAT?" he yelled
"he has been abusing me and violating me since you left Grinchy why do you think i'm caked in this sinful makeup?" i mumbled
"i'll be down for the Whobilation" he said "bet you Martha may is going to be all over me when she sees how heroic i am" he said i felt a old familiar sting hit me in the heart
"yeah she'll be there" i almost strained to say I almost forgot about his crush on Miss Martha May Who.
"Mommy does Daddy love another woman?" Raven asked I felt another pang. i can't take much more so i didn't answer instead i grabbed Raven and Cindy whistled to ruby we all got on the secret hatch and i used my powers to pull the lever but not before saying
"Come or don't it's not like you care about me anyways Grinch" i said before we went into the shoot we landed in snow.
"There you are honey! oh Miss Faith you three can make snow angels later we can not be late for the Whobilation!" Lou Who said helping us up. we made our way to the Whobilation only one thing going through my head.
