The President of the UFC, Dana White, has a lot on his mind at the moment. He aired his thoughts to the MMA media at a scrum for UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs Burns.
The past few days had seen the development of a potential fight between Francis Ngannou and boxer Dillian Whyte. Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn said that he would reach out to Dana White to talk over this prospect.

Elucidating on this, White went on, saying, “I like Eddie Hearn, Eddie Hearn has said good things about us. I don’t think it going to happen tomorrow. I’m not interested in that right now.
“We’re in a place right now where we’re trying to get our businesses back up and running. I’m not even thinking about boxing anymore. I’m worried about this business right now.”
Dana White: Listing new priorities
The President has opened his own ‘Zuffa boxing’ division, but his priorities seem clear. The UFC is trying to get back on schedule after being the first live sport to return. Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, getting licensed for events and setting up venues has become challenging.

Francis Ngannou is currently stalled in the heavyweight division, undoubtedly being next in line. Champion Stipe Miocic has assumed his primary responsibility as a first responder in his home state of Cleveland. Besides, when he does return, he is set to rematch Daniel Cormier.

This leaves ‘The Predator’ without a viable opponent. Having cleared out the entire division, the clear number one contender would surely take on said lucrative opportunity outside the sport. That outcome, however, seems bleak.
