Robert exhibits narcissistic and manipulative traits; his kindness masks an offensive demeanor. He used unsafe vehicles without proper permits, forcing us to travel in substandard conditions. I endured until his behavior became violent, prompting me to leave earlier than planned, despite the additional costs.

Coexistence was further strained by his partner Tania’s hostile attitude towards the volunteers. The island we were staying on offered limited leisure options and was isolated, prompting us to leave early. Moreover, Robert threatened retaliation if he received negative feedback

This is my first volunteering experience and one that has set a very high bar for other hosts! Robert is very kind and friendly whilst being a joy to work with. I had a lot of fun understanding how his guesthouse works and also about their lifestyle in a small town. He even brought me and my fellow volunteer to play soccer alongside other locals! The highlight was also the great food that was provided. Besides this, Loviste is just very beautiful and peaceful especially during the off peak season and allows for a very relaxing environment. I will miss the host and Loviste!

I had a great time staying at Gradina! I felt very comfortable in my room and I felt very welcomed from the beginning. We had access to snorkels and paddle boards on our time off. The work was all physical but not too hard. It was a great experience to feel immersed with nature when working at the farm. The food was amazing and plentiful. Robert works very hard and appreciates all help.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I had a great time. Robert is a funny and very generous man. I felt that he really wanted to make sure that I was happy during my time in Lovište. He is also extremely busy running his restaurant and olive farm, so I would recommend to someone able to be independent and flexible. Working hours are very well respected. About half in the morning and half in the evening. In your off time you can chill on the beach, snorkel, etc. My accommodation was shared in a room in the B&B. Food was amazing. I will miss the fresh fish :)
