Sienna Miller is majorly responsible for having propelled the boho-chic trend forward during the early-to-mid 2000s—though other stars, such as Nicole Richie and the Olsen twins, also embraced the free-spirited approach to dressing during the decade, too (on that note, remember giant hobo bags? They’re back!). All throughout the noughties, the British actress hit the streets in much-replicated outfits with a bohemian spirit; a look that has roots in the flower power movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s, but continues to fall in and out of fashion, even today. On Miller, it meant loads of maxi skirts, extra-wide belts, gladiator sandals, crocheted dresses, and much more hippy-dippy goodness.

These days, Miller tends toward a more minimalist aesthetic—though today, she was seen revisiting her once signature style. Photographed in New York City, the star stepped out in an extra-wide pair of trousers, cut high on the waist. She paired the billowy item with a floral button-up shirt, accessorizing with a red Prada wallet, brown low-top sneakers, and black Ray Ban wayfarers. It made for a cleaner, more discreet take on the trend—a more grown-up interpretation, if you will. Leave it to the OG trendsetter to bring it back with impeccable skill.
