Origin: Barbier France

Ancient rambling rose (i.e., variety that grows vertically thanks to its runners) with glossy green leaves and red tones. It has vigorous branches with large hooked thorns. It is very floriferous when in full spring blooming season, but this is not repeated throughout the year. The flowers are rather untidy, of a lobster pink colour with a golden base, and fade as they age, turning a fleshier shade of pink. It is very fragrant and is easy to pillar (the term for how sarmentose roses climb up and around pillars or support posts) and train around frames.
