A fun emergent reader to practice beginning sounds in Spanish. This is a 6 page booklet which includes 5 words and a cover page, PLUS 2 blank pages where students can add their own pictures and words (ex. a friend's name). These readers may be placed in a browsing box or sent home for practice.

This activity focuses on:
*the first letter/sound in words
*identifying and tracing upper and lower case letters
*picture/ word correspondence
*using picture cues to read words
*one-to-one correspondence while reading predictable sentences
