Description
Practice the Spanish preterite with this NO PREP print and go partner game that is similar to the classic game of Battleship. Students place their ships on their board (color in or circle the boxes) on the top grid of the sheet. They try to guess the location of their opponent's ships using the grid on the bottom of the sheet to keep track. Guesses are made by conjugating verbs in the preterite.
Two games are included, each with two versions:
- One game features the verbs tener, venir, decir, dar, poder, saber, estar, hacer
- One game features querer, hacer, traer, conducir, traducir, dar, tener
For each version, there is a game board with vosotros and one without vosostros.
There is also a version of each game where the verbs are already conjugated in each box for students who may need that additional support in order to play the game.
This engaging activity offers novice Spanish students the opportunity to practice speaking in a structured setting.
The verbs used in this activity aligns with Descubre 1 Lección 9 and Senderos 2 Lección 3.
