This Spanish Articulation game is based on the Math center game “Bump!”. It is a fun, interactive game that elicits many sound trials. Each board contains 10-11 images of speech sound targets. Each target has a corresponding number 2-12 (* designates a wild).

2 or more players: The player who rolls the highest number gets to start. Each player takes turns rolling two dice. The player must add the numbers together to see which picture they can cover with their playing piece (a bingo token, a mini eraser, etc.). They can cover the spot after they say the target that many times. If another player rolls that same number, they can “bump” the player’s piece off the spot and put their own piece there. When a player has two pieces on a spot, they’ve won that spot and can no longer be bumped. When all the spots are covered, the player with the most spots wins!

Another variation: Each player gets their own board (based on target sound) and they individually roll and cover (or color if using the black-and-white version). They can race each other to roll and cover their spaces while practicing their speech sounds!

1 player: The player can roll and cover (if using the color version) or roll and color (using the black-and-white version). As an added challenge, a sand timer can be used to see how many targets they can say and cover/color in a set amount of time!

*This game can also be used for Remote Learning! On Zoom, the SLP can share their screen with a "¡Chócalo!" board. Using the annotation tool, the SLP or the student can mark spots to cover them.
