Vista XRT Herbicide is a specialized herbicide designed to combat challenging weeds in specific settings
Vista XRT Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a specialized herbicide designed to combat challenging weeds in specific settings.
It is formulated to control tough broadleaf and grassy weeds in non-crop areas, providing effective weed management without harming desired vegetation.
Vista XRT Herbicide is a valuable tool for managing tough weeds in non-crop areas effectively.
Tools Needed
Vista XRT Herbicide can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Vista XRT Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For spot treatments, use 0.14 fl. oz. of Vista XRT Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank to 1/4 to 1/3 of the total spray volume required with water. Add the proper amount of Vista XRT Herbicide and other surfactants or herbicides you wish to mix with it. Finish filling the spray tank. Maintain continuous agitation during mixing and throughout application. If product is allowed to settle, thoroughly agitate to resuspend the mixture before spraying. Apply mixture immediately after it is prepared.
- Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of target weeds while minimizing overspray on desirable vegetation.
Where to Use
Vista XRT Herbicide can be used in Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), rangeland and permanent grass pastures, conifer plantations, and airports, barrow ditches, communication transmission lines, electrical power and utility rights-of-way, fencerows, gravel pits, industrial sites, irrigation ditch banks, dry irrigation ditches or canals, military lands, mining and drilling areas, non-irrigation ditch banks, oil pads, parking lots, petroleum tank farms, pipelines, railroads, roadsides, storage areas, storm water retention areas, substations, unimproved rough turfgrasses, vacant lots and other non-crop residential areas; and natural areas (open space) for example, campgrounds, parks, prairie management, trails and trailheads, recreation areas, wildlife openings and wildlife habitat and management areas; established turfgrass, including sod farms, residential lawns, golf courses, recreational, commercial and public turf areas including grazed areas on all of these sites.
Do not apply to St. Augustine grass in the state of Florida.
Do not use in or around greenhouses.
When to Use
Use Vista XRT Herbicide when weeds are present and actively growing on days when rainfall is not expected to occur for 1 hour after application.
Extreme growing conditions such as drought or near freezing temperatures prior to, at and following time of application may reduce weed control.
