Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk’s daughter Lea De Seine has a glamorous name

Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper was born on March 21, 2017, in Los Angeles to a then 31-year-old Shayk. These days though, the six-year-old goes to school in New York, and her famous parents have been papped multiple times doing the school run with her.

Shayk has described Lea as a “super easy” child who the couple are able to take everywhere with them. Shayk told Elle magazine that even during a full gym workout and Michael Kors fitting, Lea simply amused herself with a drawing book for hours.

Opening up about co-parenting

Though the former Victoria’s Secret model and Maestro actor aren’t currently together, Shayk has said that the pair “always find a way” to make their schedules work around their daughter, adding that Cooper is “the best father Lea and I could dream of” in the aforementioned Elle interview. Nor do the couple resort to help from a nanny, according to an account Shayk gave to Harper’s Bazaar.

It seems that Lea is teaching her parents as much as she is learning from them, with Cooper admitting to NPR that being a father has forced him to become more “present” and Shayk telling People that the little girl has taught her to “love herself even more”.

The couple have opened up on one or two rare occasions about what how their own upbringing has shaped their outlook for Lea.

For Cooper, the most important thing is for his daughter to feel as loved as he did. In his NPR interview, he said that one of the things that connected him and Lady Gaga right away when working on A Star is Born was that they “were very, very loved” as children. “And that’s the thing I want my daughter to have,” he added.

Shayk – who was raised in a poor but loving family in Russia – told Elle her daughter is “growing up in a completely different environment” to the one she did, adding in her Harper’s Bazaar interview that TikTok and Instagram made her scared as a parent: “But most important is teaching our daughter bigger values than being pretty on the outside,” she said.

Lea’s very first holiday was to Tahiti just four months after she was born. She was whisked off to the French Polynesian island with her parents and an adoring cast of other celebs including Girls actress Allison Williams, Anderson Cooper and Diane Von Furstenburg, per Us Weekly.

Since then, the tiny blonde has been everywhere from Italy – for the Venice Film Festival – to Paris with her dad (where she seemed to have the time of her life at a funfair), to Disneyland.

Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper’s relationship status

Shayk and Cooper got together in 2015, according to People magazine, and separated in 2019. However, in the past year, several sightings of the pair looking cosy together – not to mention taking what seem to be loved up, bordering on sexy photos of each other for Instagram – has some netizens joking that the pair are enjoying a “co-parenting with benefits” arrangement.

It’s true that the pair seem to care a lot for each other, with one source telling US media as recently as September that Shayk is still hoping to marry Cooper one day.
