Being a very cost-effective product, this PCIe X4 to 10 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter AQC107 Chipset is very suitable for data-intensive computing client PC, if you have a large number of file data transfer needs in your home/office environment. This network card ramps up to 10 Gigabit speed, allows you to speed up and save a lot of precious time compared to common Gigabit adapters. Unfortunately, our test speed on ZimaBoard with Debian environment is 5.4 Gigabit, but considering the price, we still think it is a good option.

We have completed the test of the AQC107 chipset in pfSense. The good news is that pfSense is able to recognize the adapter and use it after installing the driver. However, the bad news, is that it runs at a measured speed of only 500MBit/s.
