Gareth Bale on his future: “I know what I am doing but it will just cause chaos if I say anything.”

After Gareth Bale scored two goals — including the winner — off the bench in Tottenham’s 4-2 win over Leicester City on Sunday, the Welshman answered a question on where he’ll play next season.

“I know what I am doing,” Bale said .”But it will just cause chaos if I say anything.”

The announcement could be made after the Euros to avoid any further distraction from Wales’ run in the European Championship; but could even come sooner once Tottenham and Real Madrid have finalized who their managers will be, per Fabrizio Romano:

Bale has a had a really efficient season at Tottenham, producing 16 goals and four assists in all competitions. He ranked third in the Premier League in goals / shot.

It’s hard to see him have the same impact at Real Madrid. There will be less space in La Liga to find openings in, and there will be more competition for playing time. That said, it’s hard to see past anything until we know who will manage both Tottenham and Real Madrid.
