Cartonnage Fragment

Fragment of cartonnage with an image of the deceased on a funerary bier surrounded by deities. Label with ornate blue border annotated in black ink: "Bought from Egypt 1819 by Rev. R. M. Master". The same label is on 1another piece of cartonnage in the same style (no. 1973.2.433). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Textile is torn, holed and fraying, decoration is cracked, lifting and flaking, label adhered to surface, surface dirt.
