The arcade game is iconic with its clean b & w vector graphics look. I enjoy all Battlezone clones. And there is certainly nothing wrong with this early 1983 C64 version.

This version you can be pretty accurate from far away. Which is good cause if the enemy has its sights on you, it's hard to get away.

Even though there's no music, the best part of this version is it's soundscape. I like the sound when you run into an obstacle. And when that craft runs straight for you, you can hear it coming and it gives me shivers!

It was really well done for '83 and I remember playing this a LOT on its release. Really captured the feel and spirit of the arcade original.
Today I'd prefer to play Paul Woakes classic Encounter or Oceans Battle Command if I'm in the mood for this type of game but back in the day this was great.

The first-person viewpoint is passable 3D; the gameplay however remains strictly two-dimensional. **

Chunky, faked vector graphics, but it somehow works. Nice early game.

A decent, if not great, port. Managed to do the vector graphics better than the Atari 8-bit versions, but is obviously an early C64 game.

Awesome port over from the Arcade. The C=64 had trouble with emulating vector graphics but Atari got this one right.

Great Arcadegame and well done on the C64 too.
One of the first and best 3D Vektorgames. A classic !

I and many other friends spent many a quarters at the arcade playing this. One of the best in its time!
