The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in northern Dallas County on Tuesday.The tornado first spun up northwest of Dallas Center and remained on the ground for 10 minutes, traveling north almost seven miles and destroying a horse barn along the way. At its widest, the tornado's path spanned about 50 yards. Peak winds were estimated at 75-85 mph, placing this tornado at the lowest of the six rankings in the Enhanced Fujita scale. Multiple other tornadoes touched down across Iowa later in the day, spanning all the way from far southeast to northwest parts of the state, including Rockwell City.Official damage ratings and other information on those storms has yet to be released.More coverage of Tuesday's storms
DES MOINES, Iowa —
The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in northern Dallas County on Tuesday.
