Description
A beautifully decorated and intricately carved hardwood bride's dowry chest or damchiya. The front corners are carved with primitive horse head finials. The front decorated with four rows of six square back painted panels of flowers and faces. A hinged door with catch gives access to the spacious cabinet, above this is another hinged storage area and at the top to the left is a secret sliding panel enclosing a cupboard space.
