Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an incredibly rare and completely original m1916 holster by Craighead Leather of Denver, Colorado and is in excellent condition, showing very little signs of use. The interior has some slight wear, but otherwise, it's in great shape. The back of the holster is marked with "CRAIGHEAD DENVER," and the flap is embossed with a U.S. in an oval, indicating that it was a military issue holster. Unfortunately, there's no visible date.
The leather body of the holster has a lovely honey brown color, while the belt loop/clip holder shows some age staining from the clip. There's very little cracking at the top of the lid, which is probably due to pressure from storage. However, all the stitches are still intact, and all of the brass parts are present, with a bit of verdigris. The holster also comes with a steel WWII-style belt clip, and the leather is still supple. The leg tie-down is also still intact.
This holster is perfect for a high-grade WWII issue 1911 .45 pistol!
