The Jhinga Fruit, also known as the ridge gourd, comes from the genus Luffa, or Loofah.  It is a popular vegetable in many parts of Asia and, when fully ripened and fibrous, is used as a scrubbing sponge.  The dried Jhinga fruits are approximately 4-6 inches in length with prominent ridges and attached stems.  Their bright orange hue will make a bold statement in your home decor!
