Nicole Kidman made a classic look feel fresh and sexy as she returned to the red carpet on Sunday night.

The actor was a vision in backless little black dress from Atelier Versace at the premiere for her upcoming Prime Video series Expats at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The flowy piece featured spaghetti straps, a scooped neckline, and cutouts all over, including a high leg slit, and a completely open back which cut sharply into the sides of the silhouette.

Styled by Jason Bolden, Kidman wore the dress with pointy black heels and diamond jewelry—drop earrings, a tennis bracelet, a bangle, a white gold watch, and some rings.

Outside, she braved the New York City cold in a cozy black coat, also from Versace.

By all appearances, Kidman feels at home in a dark, monochrome ensemble.

The Big Little Lies star turned heads in another all-black outfit last December, when she arrived at Balenciaga’s Fall 2024 show in a striking black velvet coat dress and pointy Knife pumps by the fashion house, plus black sheer tights, gloves, a clutch, and shades. Kidman rounded off her look with opulent white drop earrings.

The actor also wore all-black in November, to attend a Planet Omega event in Manhattan for the watch brand. That chic look hailed from Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway and was also styled by Bolden. It was composed of a black off-the-shoulder dress embellished with a bow at the center, plus a sculpted bodice that sunk into a long molten silk skirt with an ultra-high leg slit and dramatic side train.
