Marko Arnautovic has been speaking about his troubles at West Ham United.
Arnautovic was agitating for a move to China in January where he stood to quadruple his then £100,000 per week salary.
It came after his agent and brother Danijel told talkSPORT that the West Ham talisman had made his mind up and wanted to leave.
The Hammers took a hardline stance after their star striker was the subject of a £35million bid from a Chinese club – believed to be Shanghai SIPG (Sky Sports).
Arnautovic has bridges to rebuild
West Ham refused to start negotiations at anything less than £50million, though.
Arnautovic remained at West Ham and even signed a new deal on improved terms.
That did not sit well with fans after he had refused to play for the club because he ‘was not in the right frame of mind’.
He has barely featured since and has looked out of sorts when he has.
The episode has damaged his relationship with fans.
And now Arnautovic has spoken out in a video which has been posted by the striker on social media where he demands more respect from supporters.
‘I am a human being’
“This fans, you have to die on the pitch for those fans,” Arnautovic says in what is an excerpt from videos to be posted on DAZN.com (Facebook).
“What do you do when you get a better job offer? Do you think about it or do you refuse it instantly?
“I called some of our fans and I told them ‘Listen to me, I am human, like you. I respect you like you should respect me. That’s why I call you and now we can talk’.”

His comments are sure to divide fans again.
