Maroon 5 frontman and star of NBC's The Voice Adam Levine revealed a fresh new haircut this week in the most appropriate home for everyone's latest grooming flex: Instagram. And in signature Levine style the haircut appears to be the latest step in his efforts to try every rebel style move known to man (actually a good thing).

The bathroom snap, taken by Levine's wife Behati Prinsloo (who also makes a cameo in the shot), shows the singer post mohawk chop revealing what is, TBH, a pretty killer sliver of hair. The key here is that Levine has enough length up top to hit Taxi Driver Robert De Niro or Mr. T levels of mohawk-ness, which is to say close to hair god status.
And for a man who definitely isn't a barber, he didn't do such a bad job, even practicing some tidy barber moves in the process (putting down a towel makes cleanup a hell of a lot easier). Now, are we recommending you follow suit? Probably not—unless you too are a handsome, world-famous celebrity with a day job that lets you do whatever the hell you want. Just remember, extreme hair moves can lead to some disastrous results (we're looking at you Justin Bieber). But if you are about the get yourself a summer buzzcut, there's no harm in giving yourself a mid-cut mohawk of your own for a particularly clutch Instagram post (again, as long as your cutting it off immediately after).
