Bad finger ratchet mechanism, but you can make it work by messing with it while winching. Pulled down a couple of giant dead poplars in a 10 foot alley between houses, and it worked OK. But, the weird ratchet thingy is a pain in the a**. Still, a great value for falling trees with a bad lean. Thanks

Nice well built with good rope and more than enough rope to pull over any tree that grows on the east coast. Like the long handle and the fact it doesn't have spool for the rope to fill up after you crank up a few feet of rope. You keep on cranking in up to 100 feet of rope , more than enough to ensure a tree falls in the direction you want
