The Saarlandisches Staatsorchester created and mounted this 2008 production of Georg Friedrich Handel's three-act 1709 opera seria Agrippina . The cast includes Susanne Geb in the title role, Hiroshi Matsui as Claudio, Judith Braun as Nerone, Elizabeth Wiles as Poppea and David Cordier as Ottone. Vincenzo Grimani authored the libretto, Peter Lund directs for the stage, and Claudia Doderer designed the sets and costumes. The Saarlandisches Staatsorchester lends symphonic accompaniment with Konrad Junghanel conducting.
