I spent two years serving the super-rich in Harrods - colleagues were fired for fawning over A-Listers and there are private suites people don't know about

A woman who used to work in Harrods has shared some of the luxury brand's top secrets.

British influencer Maggie Anne, took to TikTok to reveal some 'cool facts' she learned during her two-year stint at the department store in London.

The make-up artist posted a morning routine video, where she explained that Harrods kept secret 'VIP tunnels' reserved for A-list celebs and royalty.

Perhaps the most bizarre of the reveal was that she was instructed to snub celebrities or she would face the 'sack' like the cohorts before her.

The intriguing exposé was lapped up by her fans who demanded to know more - while fellow 'Harrods gang' members told their own tales.

She explained: 'I worked in Harrods for two years and there's some pretty cool things that go down in that place that the general public will have no idea about'.

While applying a number of make-up products to her face, she adds: 'So I thought we could talk about it'.

'So I don't think a lot of people actually know this but in Harrods there is actually a sort of special secret tunnel - like a VIP tunnel.

'I'm pretty sure there's only like five staff members in the whole of Harrods that actually are allowed to know the entrance and the exits to these VIP tunnels.

'Basically these VIP tunnels are used for like A-list celebrities and royalty to enter and exit Harrods without the general public and normal customers knowing that they're even there.

She went on to tell how celebrities were able to sneak in and out of the vicinity, as well as shop in complete privacy.

She said that the super rich enjoyed shopping sprees in 'penthouses' and 'private suite areas' with dedicated personal shoppers.

While a few thought the tale was a work of fiction, others lapped it up and demanded to know more

'Another cool fact is that if you are working in Harrods and you were to see an A-list celebrity or anyone you recognise.

'You are not allowed to let that celebrity know that you have recognised them and you know who they are.

'So there was many a time when I was serving celebrities and I would not be allowed to let them know that I know who they are - even if it's very obvious.

'I've known people to literally get the sack because they've asked for pictures with celebrities and you are not allowed to do that.

'That is a no go. You do not ask a celebrity for a selfie when you're working in Harrods. Absolutely not'.

And although many presume that the mega-rich stroll around with wads of cash, Maggie claims there's a £2,000 limit to the amount you can spend in store.

She contends that her memory may be slightly hazy, however she recalls that the strict rule was put in place to help employees weed out 'dodgy' money.

One person replied to the clip asking for 'more stories please'.

One former employee was lucky enough to spot Prince Diana: 'I worked in Harrods in 1995 and saw lady Diana'.

'So true! I served Rupert Grint and I had to act like I had no clue who he was' added one from the 'Harrods gang'.

Someone else said: 'Harrods gang. I was in the head office though! Miss it'.

The viral video has received a staggering 1.1 million views - it's proven to be so popular, the content creator has added another 3 parts to the Harrods series.

Maggie, who recently got engaged to her long term partner, owns a nail polish business called Maggie Anne Beauty.
