Boards and corners a bit rubbed, wax seal remnants on endpapers, ink name and date on title page ('Johann August Harnisch (?) Madrid: 1745'), ink note on rear endpaper. 1696 Hard Cover. [16], 206, [24], 142, [12], [38], 318, [18] pp. Engraved frontispiece, fold-outs of: Schema Morborum General; Synopsis Febrium. Morton was the first to observe that tubercules were always present in the lungs in tuberculosis, and also the first to describe what is now known as anorexia nervosa (he called it a nervous phthisis). This volume collects several of his works.
