Q: QuestionCan i bi amp my tower speakers off this amp while its connect to my av receiver(1 answer)
A: AnswerHello and thank you for your question. This will depend on the AV receiver. Example, the Marantz PM8006 will allow Bi amp as it will output power from the speaker A terminal while outputting a signal via RCA pre out the external amp. Connect the high pass from to the PM8006 and low pass to the external amp.Answered by Marantz Team
- A: AnswerHello. Martin Logan's Motion 40i floor-standing speaker is quite sensitive - unless you have a large room, or you listen at high volume levels, the MM7055 will be a good match for the 40i speakers from Martin Logan.

- A: AnswerThe latter is correct. All channels can produce 140 watts per channel, just not all at once.

Q: QuestionCan I biwire this amp to double the power for KEF R11?(1 answer)
A: AnswerHi 721, Bi-wiring is possible with the MM7055, but it doesn't double the power. Bi-wiring doesn't usually result in much of a difference as it only involves two pairs of speaker wire from a single terminal pair at the amplifier end. At the other end it has one pair connect to the upper port (tweeter) on the speaker's terminals, and the other to the lower (mid/bass) terminal port. Bi-amping is also possible. This means you will have two of the MM7055's output terminal pairs per speaker. This would make more of a difference as you effectively have one power amplifier channel per drive unit with each speaker. You will need to make sure your pre-amp allows for this many feeds (four) for the left and right speakers. You won't need any more power than is on offer though - your KEF R11s have a sensitivity rating of 90 dB. In a medium-sized room they need only a few watts to go very loud.Answered by Marantz Team

Takes music and movies to the next level!
I added the Marantz MM7055 to my Denon AVRX 6700, 5.2 setup with SVS Ultras. I was content prior to adding the amp, but I'm so happy I added the amp. Such an improvement in sound quality. My SVS Ultras are running off the amp leaving the 6700 to power my 2 SVS subs. Cleaner, more defined sound with appropriate umph. My only regret is that I didn't get the MM 8055 for more power.

Easy to use, good sound
Purchased this to augment my 9-channel receiver in an 11-channel system (I was using an old Insignia stereo receiver to power the rear Atmos/ceiling speakers). Easy to setup, the trigger input works well to turn on the amp automatically when the receiver turns on. Using it to power the front L&R, center, and rear surrounds. Sound quality is good. Surprised that I have to turn the volume up to the same levels as before; since the Denon receiver is 140w per channel into 2 channels, I was expecting the 140w per channel of the Marantz to play louder, but it doesn't.
