Q: QuestionWill it read aloud for me(1 answer)
A: AnswerSandy, Yes, most Kindle Content does have Text To Speech Capability. Before you purchase content from the Kindle Store you can see if it is on the detail page of the title. "Text To Speech:Enabled" Will be listed in the content details. Here are the steps to activate this capability: 1. While reading, tap the center of the screen, and then tap the menu icon "Aa" in the upper right corner. 2. Tap More, and then tap the switch next to Text-to-Speech to turn it on. In your Kindle book, tap the screen to show the progress bar, and then tap the Play button next to the progress bar to hear the text read aloud. To increase or decrease the reading speed of the Text-to-Speech voice, tap the Narration Speed icon. You can listen to the Text-to-Speech voice through the external speakers on your device or through your earphones plugged into the headphone jack. Tip: If you're reading a book in another language, you can download a Text-to-Speech voice for that language without leaving the book. A better kindle
I bought this for my teenager and she likes it very much. She can use regular not just kids kindle. She also tends to carry it in most of her purses. It would be better if the size was bigger, as well as if it included color. The illustrations are an important part of reaing yet there are no illustrations in the kindle unless you are reading on your phone. Overall this is a good purchase who love reading, howerver there could be improvements.

MUST HAVE!
Hey fellow parents! Just had to share my excitement about the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Kids E-Reader. It's been a total game-changer for us! The 6.8" display is a visual treat, and that Emerald Forest color is so inviting. The kid-friendly cover is a smart touch, adding both protection and ownership. With 16GB storage, it's like a mini library in your bag. And the battery life? Seriously impressive. No more "it's dead!" on road trips. Parental controls are a lifesaver. I'm in charge of what my kid reads, and the reading tracker keeps them engaged. Navigating is easy, and adjustable font sizes are a win. Built-in dictionary and highlights? Awesome for learning and focus. But the best part? This Kindle took my kid's love for reading up a notch. They're immersed in stories, and that's priceless. Bottom line, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Kids E-Reader is a must if you want to nurture a love for reading. It's more than a gadget – it's a portal to imagination and knowledge. Happy reading!

Have mixed feelings about it
I purchased this based on a NY Times review, and wished that they had mentioned my biggest pain point. The big selling points to me were the lack of ads without paying additional, the free cover, and, most of all the readability. I love the size, and readability, and the magnetic cover. However, I resent that Amazon requires you to review every book when you finish it. For a kids version, the reviews are unrealistic. It tells me why there are so many reviews for ebooks - if the reviews are required. I cannot find any way that I can skip the review (I won't review unless it's a book that I actually want to review) other than to restart the Kindle at the end of the book. While I like the cover, I do miss the cover that I had on my Fire tablet, which folded to become a stand. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have gone with another Fire tablet, only because of the reviews and the lack of a stand.
