A trailer park is not where you would expect to find a famous fashion designer. However, Betsey Johnson is in fact trading her Upper East Side apartment for a Malibu mobile home, the Wall Street Journal reports. But this isn’t your run-of-the-mill trailer park. Paradise Cove is likely the most expensive mobile enclave in California—and possibly the entire country. Johnson paid almost $2 million for the 1,400-square-foot designer dwelling, which has a killer locale overlooking the Pacific Ocean. “I have changed my life completely. I’m tired of taking care of homes. I’m really happy to have one little dollhouse, and that’s it,” the notoriously energetic designer told the Wall Street Journal. She also plans to paint the trailer a vibrant yellow with white trim. The interior has an open plan with hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and skylights throughout. There’s a large central kitchen that opens to front and back decks, expanding the home’s living space, as well as a roomy living room with a fireplace and three bedrooms, including the master suite. It also has a quaint garden and views of the ocean. We’re sure Johnson is doing cartwheels.
