I buy saffron for only two things, paella and Easter bread. But I make paella at least four times a year, and Easter bread I make a dozen loafs, so I use a lot. This was some of the best stuff I have had and I usually try to get it from a company in Spain. But not sure where this is from, but man is it good. Fresh, YES, dark color, YES, flavor, YES. Very happy with my purchase. I will admit that in my first use I did used too much and was basing the amount off what I would normally use, but this stuff, uses a bit less for the same taste and color. I can honestly say BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! and I don't say that often.
