You'll need more dirt then they say, but great otherwise!

You'll need more dirt then they say, but great otherwise!
Filled it up today and seems fairly sturdy. Once I get more dirt to top it off. The directions said I needed 4 cubic feet to fill the 2×4 but this is 4 plus almost another cubic foot of some compost I mixed in and as you can see, it didn't fill it. So I have to go get more dirt for it, and the 2x2 I also bought but haven't filled yet. However I think it will serve its purpose just fine! Works great for my lanai! Just be aware that it's not something you can move around once filled. So make sure it's in the spot you plan on keeping it when you fill it!

Bought this product since it is a lot cheaper than wood raised frames and am so far very happy! The cloth stitching is very sturdy, i had to drag the 3x3 off my patio full of soil and it held together nicely.

The square bed has a circle of fabric that cuts off the corners. I’m using the large section in the middle for bell peppers and the outside corners for strawberries. In a second bed I have two tomato plants. My only current issue with the bed is using supports. The circle divider makes it hard to use larger wire supports close enough to the plant, but is also not deep enough to get a good stake through. I got a little creative with multiple small supports from Lowe’s to keep my large tomato plant from falling. But I probably won’t use it for tomato’s next year.

I am very pleased with this bed. It is a sturdy fabric. The corner pockets were unexpected and are delightful...my mint can go in the corners to discourage pests but won't be able to take over the entire bed! Its mobility is excellent...it holds its shape well, and I have placed it on an old greenhouse shelf on top of a children's wagon. It is cute, I don't have to lean over so far to tend it, and when the temperature suddenly plugs from 75 degrees during the day to 25 degrees at night (as happened yesterday) I just wheel it into the greenhouse to protect it for a couple of days. Wheeling an entire garden bed around to get the best temperature and sun exposure throughout the year will extend the growing season for my lettuces, radishes, cilantro, and arugula considerably, as I can slow down the bolting by keeping them in cooler parts of the yard when the temperatures get crazy-hot on random days in the spring, as tends to happen here.

This will be my second season using Victory raised beds. I can not think of a better and more configurable product. Different sizes and shapes available for any patio or yard or even balcony! Tomatoes, peppers, cauliflower and onions all loved growing here last year. This year I will use these for "square foot gardening" and grow even more. And the junior round bed shall become an herb garden of wonderment and awesomeness!
These beds make it easy to get growing quickly!
One note: Do make sure you first fill the "corner pockets" with soil. (on the square and rectangular beds) Take your time shaping the bed as you go. These beds make it easy to create a garden in no time!

Its been 6 months since I have used. I brought two 4x4. The two good things are there is no setup, and second it can be placed any where. But the issues I have seen so far, 1) The bags dont have a shape for themselves. I have not filled my bags to the top. I have filled it up to 3/4th and that gives the bag a look like it is out of shape. 2) I once put in my own vegetable compost in my soil. And I see that rats or rabbits have made a small hole in one of my bag. Hope it doesnt get too big too soon.
For the same price we can get non fabric product.

Well built all in all. With 1 huge negotiable caveate to deal with. I come from a family of nursery owners, landscape architects, and designers .ive seen a few ways to get something to grow but initially i didn't like the partitions that come connected inside connecting the corners. They get bunched up easily when trying to fill it initially because they aren't sewn into the bottom. Or maybe that's a defect and only mine came that way. But not likely because both of the 2 I ordered are that way. I had realized it was probably a support mechanism to hold the shape after being filled with soil . But they play an interesting role in several possible scenarios. Find yours. They keep the edges drier maybe for things like basil who love drainage. Or you can just cut them down - I would suggest leaving a small width connected if you do. Everything changes when roots are air pruned and get to breathe. This is the future of container gardening. Mine are sitting on wood pallets even.

I recently purchased three; 3feet by 6 feet beds to start gardening and saving some money on vegetables plus homegrown tomatoes taste better since I have a family. The bed is really nice I like that there is sectioning for the bed but it is optional for the gardener. The beds require 18 cubic feet of soil so 9 bags of soil if you but 2 cubic feet a bag. We plan on using coco coir to mix with our soil and fertilizer so far I love the beds and thankful I didn't get the 4 foot by 8 footbeds. I will say that because of the whole national pandemic of corvid 19 it took a long time to receive the beds but that's just the way the world is operating so have patience. I will post later in the year about the durability of the beds so far it seems sturdy
