A. STEAMING

1. Pour some water into the middle of the pot to steam water line

2. Place the articles in the pot

3. Put on the cover

4. Turn the timer switch to 5 minutes.

5. When the device shuts off automatically, leave the articles in the pot with cover for 10 minutes before removing the articles.

B. BOILING

1. Place the articles in the pot

2. Pour water into the pot to the boiling water line.

I use Fakespot for shopping online and Amazon had this as a D (which I normally avoid). However, I wanted this to work so badly because I liked the size compared to some of the steaming devices. I also didn't want to just steam, I wanted to boil.
This works perfectly the way it's made and it's made my period life a lot easier. I wanted a way to boil my disc while I shower without having to go through hoops to set things up in the kitchen or bring my kettle into the bathroom. This boils the water and turns itself off after the set time, so no worries on an electrical issue in the bathroom (which is usually moist during a shower).
Highly recommend this if you use discs/cups at all. Also have used to clean kegal devices. It's all silicone.
Tl;dr WORKS, buy it, worth it.

If you are a cup or a disc user, this thing is compact and essential for sterilization! I love that I can put my disc in, set the time, walk away and come back to finish cleaning my disc. It is so much better then maneuvering a whisk in a pot of boiling water on the stove that you could potentially melt. Stress free. I use at the end and before the beginning of a cycle. I prefer to spray down with hydrogen peroxide on the inside after each use.

So I love the convenience of this! The only negative o have is I use a flex disc which is super thin for the cup of it so when boiling it doesn’t stay submerged at all. But other than that it’s amazing! I’ll do a boil right before and when I’m done with the disc and then I’ll steam it while I’m in the shower at night in between. It’s a lot smaller than how it looks on the site. But it’s so easy to care for l, clean and store when finished.

The product is straight forward, directions are clear, and easy to follow the instructions. Instead of boiling my cup in the kitchen (which is sometimes awkward and seemingly unsanitary) I’m able to do it in the comfort of my bathroom and behind closed doors. There are 2 options- steam and boil. I usually will boil my cup whilst in the shower and it gets the job done. The kit includes tweezers to pick up the cup, which can be hot to the touch, and includes a brush to clean the device. Overall, I would recommend getting this as it works, it’s small but big enough for your cup, and it’s more private and easy to store.

I prefer this any day over dodging my kids in the kitchen. I’ve done the boiling where I placed it in a silicone egg bowl and then boiled, I’ve boiled it in the microwave. (preferred before bc at least it’s not visible if one of my crew of 3 kids comes in with the questions they don’t want answers to) But now, I’m just really happy to have an option that doesn’t involve the family kitchen for sanitizing my female stuff. Got this one bc I knew it held the disc properly, very fast and easy and I just store everything in there till needed.

I will say it’s pretty old school with the timer dial, I hope it holds up ok but so far the 1 time I’ve used it I was happy. Sometimes that older technology is better, hopefully that’s the case here.
