They are big, so if you have thick/a lot of hair, these will work for you. I mostly use these to separate my hair as I apply product to sections of my curly hair when I do wash and gos, but they would work to do a half-up hairstyle as well.

I have long thick hair and this is the only size/kind clip I have found that will hold it all up. I used to grab a few of these for a couple dollars whenever I bought groceries, etc but now they are just not in any stores. I can only find the smaller ones which are useless to me.

This brand is a little sturdier plastic than the Goody brand clips but they don't hold quite as tightly as the Goody brand clips of the same size. They are also about 2/3 the cost of the Goody clips and they work just fine. They have the nice little grip pads inside as well.

The descriptions of hair clips on Amazon are pretty much useless. These are labeled "Medium" but other smaller clips are also labeled "Medium". These are the "half claw" size clips which are 2 inches tall, about 2 inches wide. The "teeth" are about 2 3/8" from front to back.

They seem old and brittle and I'm really disappointed I spent so much money on such a poor product -- that's how desperate I was for this size of clip, which is impossible to find.
