I like the pigment, the longevity and the fact that it's waterproof--although it does smudge and flake a little. My problem is that once you break the tip you might as well throw it away. And the tip does break easy. I even went and bought a brand new sharpener and it is next to impossible to sharpen. You get jagged edges and end up stabbing your eyelid. I'd do better whittling it with a knife. I got 3 uses out of it before the tip crumbled, now it's pretty much useless. Waste of money in my opinion.

Before I tell you about this eyeliner, I need to make sure you are aware that you DO need a cosmetic pencil sharpener for it. I have seen several reviews complaining that they run out of pencil tip really quickly and as funny as that is, it's because they need to sharpen the pencil, just like a normal graphite one. Cosmetic pencil sharpeners need to be used to get through the plastic more easily. I picked one up for two bucks from ELF, and it works great. :)

Anyway, this is my favorite eyeliner! I wear really strong glasses and have to do my makeup without them on, so it can be really hard when using a pencil that doesn't go on the skin easily. This eyeliner just glides onto my skin so effortlessly! It really is fantastic. I will say that it does smudge a little, but I actually like that aspect of it because I can run my finger along the line I draw to make it a little less harsh. I also like how thick it is, because then I only need to do one stroke along my eye.

I don't care how cheap this is: do not buy it (not here at least). Is it old?? I have only gotten to use this one time. It was nice. I liked the consistency and pigment depth (deep black). The first time I tried to sharpen it the back snapped off... the second time I tried to sharpen it (before even using it for a second time), the lead kept snapping inside the body of the pencil like it was all cracked inside (like a what would happen to standard graphite pencil if it was dropped on the floor). I kept trying to get a good point on it, but kept losing chunks of the product as they slipped out of the handle of the pencil until eventually the whole rest of the center just fell out and left me with a hollow body. While I didn't spend a lot on this product I won't buy anything else ever again from Rimmel.

Eyeliner applied smoothly and was long lasting so I really wanted to like it. However, it can't be twisted to access more of the product after you use the very tip which comes exposed. Rather, the manufacturer expects you to sharpen a plastic pencil. And does not provide a sharpener to do so. Terrible design for what would otherwise be a great product.

I can't tell you how long it stayed put, I'd put it on early and left it on to see how it would work before putting it on to go out in. I really liked the eyeliner , perfect, very soft yet smudge resistant and then I tried to sharpen it, which proved an impossible task. the material around the lead is not wood it it s some sort of plastic and very hard and resistant to being sharpened. It is inexpensive but not when you factor the truth that you will get about 5 uses out of it and then you can throw it out

I bought this after seeing it on a blog for best drugstore kohl eyeliners. This isn’t one that can be used for smokey eyes or anything because IT DOES NOT MOVE.

I used this on my waterline too and it seems good. After a long day there was a little bit of smudging on my under eyes, but it was very minimal.

Probably best if you use this on your lash line!
