I had to guess the size to order; there's no clear information for that. I wear a women's 6.5 to 7 shoe size. I made a guess and ordered a Left1. Fortunately that was a good guess. I found that by doing a stop/start watch of the video showing how to fit the brace, I was able to do it myself. The fit is good with one exception, the 2 wide straps that start from the foot plate and cross over the ankle to above the ankle, or at the low calf area, are not a completely smooth fit. Because I have neuropathy in my feet, I wish the foot plate had a little more padding. Otherwise, it is perfect, and I am glad I ordered the Push AFO. One last thing, I did have to go up a shoe size for the brace, but that's because of the neuropathy.

I wanted to love this brace. But I do have some issues with it. Mainly, I have a very hard time to place the straps on the side at the right place all the time. It provides excellent support when the straps are at the right place, maybe my leg is shorter than most people. The elastic straps both side are like extra muscles to stabilize.the foot and ankle! The bottom of the brace is soft and flexible while the heel is cradled by semi flexible plastic material securing the heel. Once the side straps are placed in correct position which I have a lot of trouble with. Another issue I have is the bottom of the brace is very flexible, so the strong elastic on the side can twist especially the front half of the brace and sometimes twisting the foot depending on how tight the elastic straps are positioned and make me scare to use it! However it does provides great range of motion and correct gate movements but that also requires the right position of the side straps. I found that if I can remove and put it it on without moving the side straps then it is Greg. It is a good brace. But unfortunately I need assistance to put it on and off. I need to stop that person to move the two side straps. So it’s difficult for me perhaps not others. My therapist likes it also because it supports my ankle while allowing normal range motion. So this brace is good if you have the patience to adjust all the straps that keep this brace in place. I also wish it has some kind of arch support. It’s too pricy comparing to other braces that can provide the same function. Also uncertain how long the elastic side straps can last since they stretch with every step you take.

 This foot brace is fantastic.

I have foot drop on my right side after a herniated disc lodged down my spinal cord / damaged my L4/5. For the past three years I have painfully worn an Ottobock WalkOn brace. The Ottobock is great, but the foot is a full palm (vs this brace which is a half palm). Having a metal plate under my big toe (which has nerve damage from taking the full force of my steps) created so much pain. Intolerable pain when walking. Walking in the Ottobock brace was not an option (and my quality of life has been so different than before the injury). I have not walked further than a city block forever. THIS Push Ortho brace is a godsend. Half palm (so my toes are not impacted). Secure enough to lift my foot when walking. Able to walk!!! Changes everything. And affordable. Thank you.

I have a carbon fiber brace that really doesn't stop my ankle from going sideways when walking on a grade, such as mowing the lawn. I saw this and thought that it would help since the brace runs vertical behind the ankle. Combine that with the crossing straps it seems like it would be more rigid. Unfortunately that is not the case here. No improvement over my other brace. It does work well in my work boots as they already are 8" steel toe shoes. However at work I don't have to contend with sideways grades, only level floors and stairs. I had hoped that I could use this in any shoe and be rigid. There are other braces here on Amazon that are considerably less money that would do the same as this. I may try one of those.

My neurologist referred me to a service provider for AFO products and also showed me what he wears. I had a bad experience a few years ago with a steel AFO from this provider. Although my neurologist told me many new and better products are now available, the reference and seeing it resulted in purchasing this AFO. This product is very comfortable, easily adjusted and fits under and over clothing much better than before. The one negative is that the written instructions listed the process in the opposite order from the online video. The online video provides the better set of instructions.

This brace is a happy medium between my hard brace and my soft ankle brace (that holds onto your shoe laces). It does not pinch me or cause burning on my leg/foot. I’m very happy with it. I was able to use it with a pair of shoes that I couldn’t wear with either of my other braces. Walking feels WAY more natural. I’m looking forward to my physical progress with the help of this brace!
