    This is a pilot light switch and only lights up when the circuit is on. The switch is on the right in the two pictures. I like how the lens is red, vs the orange lens on the middle switch in the pictures which is a normal lighted switch where the light is on when the switch is in the off position. The only bit that I'm not crazy about is that the light doesn't just come out of the lens but rather the entire switch which is the same issue as the standard switch in the middle. It would have looked a lot nicer if it only came out of the lens, but it is what it is!

    The media could not be loaded.
     Our attic had an old switch with pilot light that was starting to fail. The rocker was coming lose which would cause the light to go off. I was looking for a cost effective modern decora switch with pilot light and found this from Leviton!

    Really easy to install. Took less than fifteen minutes (I’m adding a few because the wiring in my house is old so it took a bit to remove the old one!)

    Great value and look and now I know when the attic light is on or off.

    Now if they’d just make a smart version that works with Alexa!

    The switch that controls our attic lights is located in the hallway, so you cannot see if the lights are on from there. I recently installed high-wattage LED lights in there and while they are energy-efficient, they still pull over 150 watts total. It's very easy to forget to turn them off and if that happens they could get left on for days, months, or more.

    This switch solved that problem and was perfect because it matches our decora rocker switches perfectly. That is something that had been hard to find. It looks beautiful and the switch itself is very high-quality. It can control loads up to 20A.

    Installation was very easy and the instructions were clear and straight-forward. It does require a neutral, so if your box doesn't have one you will not be able to use this switch and get the indicator light to work. The terminals on the switch are color-coded:

    Black=HOT or LINE (this is the wire that has power.)
    BRASS=LOAD (this is the wire that goes to the light or device you want to control.)
    SILVER=NEUTRAL (this connects to the neutral wires that are typically wire-nutted together in the box; just use a short piece of wire of the same gauge as those in the box.)
    GREEN=GROUND (this is the bare copper wire.)

    I highly recommend this switch for anyone who has decora style switches and needs to know if lights or other devices in a remote location are ON or OFF.

    This controls our outdoor light. When the outside light is on the switch light is on. When the outside light is off the switch light is off. Like all AC lights, the pilot light needs a hot and neutral wire. Check for hot and neutral before buying.

    I installed this switch to control the heat tape on the roof when we have heavy snow. If I leave the heat tape turned on too long, the electricity is very expensive, more than $1.50 per hour. With this lighted switch, I notice right away if the switch has been left on.

    Couldn’t find a Decora switch with pilot light in the stores and came across this on Amazon. Exactly what I needed for a porch ceiling fan that I always forgot to turn off and so it would run all night. The subtle red light on the switch (glows when fan is on) reminds me to turn it off. Be aware that if replacing a single pole switch, you will need a neutral (white wire) in your device box, in addition to the two wires on the existing switch, for the pilot light to work.
