    Instructions aren't easy to follow
    I have basic crochet knowledge and thank goodness I do. This kit is great in the supply aspect but terrible in the instructions. I tried to follow the instructions for a pig (and added bunny ears because I wanted to make a character from a kpop group) but I obviously messed up somewhere because it came out way tinier than I expected because the pictures on the booklet make them look bigger. I used the barcode for video help but the web page didn't exist. I resorted to YouTube to help me figure out how to make a ball and that worked out well.The kit comes with yarn, stuffing, safety scissors(super handy), yarn needles, row markers, keychains, measuring tape, white felt, and a double sided crochet hook with 2 different sizes.If you're a visual learner(like videos, not pictures) then this isn't for you. They have pictures on how to start the chain and magic circle but they aren't very good instructions, I still went to YouTube for help on the magic circle. If you just need crochet supplies, I'm not sure it's worth the price.

And now, after trying a few other projects with different yarn, I can say that this yarn and hook are not very high quality. It's a very cute idea, but you can look up a youtube video to make the same thing and use better yarn.

    There are a wide range of kits like these, and I think the one thing that sets a kit apart is well thought out and written instructions. This set has those, which sets it apart from a lot of others.

    In terms of materials, they're always going to be just okay, and that's true here too. The tools are also decent, and you get a good selection of them. If you want to use it, there's videos, but if you want to just use the paper instructions those are an option.

    All of these also claim to be for beginners, and this one is decent on that front I'd say. It's always going to be tricky to get some of these ideas, but once you get the basic stuff it's pretty easy going.
