If you already have a quikset deadbolt, this is a no-hassle replacement. It fit perfectly and worked 1st time. The construction is sturdy and basic programming is simple. I have not yet tried some of the more advanced features, such as one-time unlock codes, but those seem straightforward enough. I am pleased with the quality of this lock, and it looks good too.

Had problem with the initial lock, it would not operate with the keypad. The lock would operate manually. I called Kwikset and they sent a new lock at no charge and didn't want me to send the defective device back. Great customer service
has shown me they care about their customers and their products. The fact that I could make this lock keyed with the old key was simple and worked easily.

For some reason my last review was removed with the reason that I inferred that it was a counterfeit product. It is not. The lock I received is definitely made by Kwikset. It has wasted 6 hours of my life over the course of a month trying to make it work. I have been unsuccessful. A couple times I did get the bolt to move when punching in the code I was trying to program but the experience could not be replicated. This lock is useless and a wast of money.

So thankful to finally have this lock so I can easily lock/unlock when my hands are full. Also, it has come in handy sev times already when someone needed to run by, and we were unable to get them a key. Easy to program also! My only complaint is that we were unable to get it to work properly for the first couple of weeks. We would program it, and it would only work once or twice. I looked all over the internet, trying to figure out possible reasons for this. I Was finally going to call customer service when it occurred to my husband that it might be bc we were using rechargeable batteries. We replaced them with normal batteries and have had no issues since!! Would def recommend this lock!!

My friend has this exact lock. I instantly fell in love with it when I was visiting her. I don't have to worry about my key. I do keep it on me but it's nice to be able to walk out the door and know it's going to automatically lock seconds after. It's nice and convenient especially because my kid doesn't always latch the door or friends come in and don't lock it and it can pop open. So when people come in it locks and the pets can't get out. Gives me peace of mind when my hubby is away or when I'm home on my day off sleeping. I'll never go back to a regular lock system.
