Product Description

This tourniquet is a true one-handed device proven to be 100% effective, completely occluded blood flow of an extremity in the event of a traumatic wound with significant hemorrhage. It utilizes a durable windlass system with a free-moving internal band providing true circumferential pressure to the extremity. Once adequately tightened, bleeding will cease and the windlass is locked into place. A hook and loop windlass retention strap is then applied, securing the windlass to maintain pressure during casualty evacuation.Please refer to the user instructions in the packaging for more details.

    You get what you pay for. Cheap Velcro’s and plastic. The instructions are very badly translated into english. It’s a very easy product to use and even still was confused by the instructions provided. It’s not that hard to find someone to validate the English translations. Red tip is not a real feature and as such does nothing to aid or hinder performance. It’s just red cloth poorly sewed on.

    These will work for the most part, but the windlass and the channels it's meant to lock into have some flex. The strap itself is strong and durable enough, but there are better options out there. I recommend testing these before a real emergency.

    I’ve inspected these thoroughly, and it seems like they’re very well built, and will work if I ever need them. Obviously, no one ever wants to have to use a tourniquet, but I think it’s a very smart idea to keep these around. I keep one in my truck, one with my chainsaw, stuff, and one with our camping gear. Just make sure you know how to use one!

    I'm a health care pro and was asked to "build" a first aid/survival kit for a couple of family members. I found a great kit to begin with and added these for the "new normal" we are seeing in our cities and towns. A must have for any first aid/survival kit. These are CAT type and easy to use. Hopefully, never needed but when you do you'll be ready. I highly recommend if your first aid/survival kit doesn't come with these you need to add them.
