Overall we did keep this, but it was overpriced with the quality that you're getting. We assembled it fairly quickly, within about 1 hr with 2 people. That's also because each coat hanger piece required 2 tiny screws and I was afraid of using the drill so I did them by hand instead. The problem is that some wood pieces were scratched up and I did my best to reverse pieces and try to use them in a way that the damages wouldn't show. The biggest problem I have is that it doesn't rest straight against the wall and it's not sturdy, as you'd expect a seated hallway piece to be. Disappointed but would have been less, had I paid what this was worth and not an overly inflated price that I bought it for. Needed a temporary fix for the area and loved the online pic/ad, so went with it. There's a top shelf but because it sways when touched, I'm afraid of putting anything up there or it would come crashing down on someone's head/floor, as they sit to put their shoes on. Jackets stay on the hooks but adult jackets drape over the elongated seat, so it looks cluttered and disorganized. I'm happy to use this for visitors to hang things but overall, I don't like messes and clutter, especially in the hallway area. Also, keep in mind, there's a weight limit so even having 1 adult and 1 kid on this, you might exceed it and it's not forgiving. Cracking sound was heard and lesson was learned lol. Check to make sure you know what the max weight is, as it's not a heavy duty piece of furniture.

I’ve been wanting one for a long time and finally chose this hall tree. At first I wasn’t sure how sturdy it was but it mounts to the wall to make it more sturdy. Mine is currently housing diaper bag, wrestling bag, hats, shoes, baby car seat… and it is going strong
