This is my 5th purchase of the Himalaya bacopa . There were no obvious improvements at the beginning. After consuming the 4th bottle, I noticed that I was more focusing, my long-term memory was back and quick thinking. I have no side effects in taking the bacopa and I still have good sleep. I normally take it in the morning after breakfast, together with ginko and huperzine A supplements. This Himalaya bacopa is easy to swallow. Good stuff.

Real bacopa, great for focus and memory

I have taken multiple bacopa brands, have noticed that some are possibly fake (because they don't smell like bacopa) or caused unwanted side effects for me (like Doctor's Best). This is obviously not the only quality brand of Bacopa, but this is genuine bacopa. I think this brand is a good potency and it works for me. I know because when I went off of the other brand that I used until it went out of stock, I reverted back to my previous brain fog. After being on this, I am not having that brain fog. Also, when switching onto the previous brand, my memory improved significantly, and my current memory and attention span on this brand is equal to on the previous brand. I also take Vitamin B12, which I started taking before taking Bacopa, and this has helped me with my memory and some with attention span. So my cognition stack consists of Bacopa and B12, and these two combined have made my brain a lot sharper. For my brain, just these 2 supplements are enough for sharp cognition. For me, B12 brought noticeable definite improvements in a few days (clearly not placebo). Bacopa takes longer to work than B12 but it is well worth it - for example, adding the Bacopa improved my cognition even more than just B12 alone - quire a bit more actually. I'm a computer programmer and even though I was good at programming before my cognition stack, these two supplements have helped me a lot in focusing on conversations at work and communications, and in listening to conversations in my everyday life. I even find that now I can remember a lot more, such as the name of a computer programming library or namespace, little details about programming that I don't have to look up, because I can just remember them and the programming environment's auto-complete feature confirms my memory was correct. I also remember numbers, dates, and names better. No, I don't have a photographic memory now, and my long-term memory hasn't become outstanding, and I would think there's no supplement that can in reality do that, but both long-term and short term memory have improved. When switching to Bacopa, after it started working, I was very excited and impressed at how much my cognition improved. I take Bacopa with a milk product like milk, a milkshake, or yogurt smoothie every morning because it is fat solubale. If you are a vegan, you'd want to take it with some kind of oil to help absorb it. If you notice effects in a few days, sorry, for Bacopa, that's placebo. But after a few weeks or a month, that's probably not placebo, especially if you notice really impressive improvement like I did. Effects may peak at about 2-3 months, and do not decline after that, as long as you continue taking it.

From my mid-50 until I was 65 I was very ill and mostly bed ridden, and I could barely walk to the mailbox about 60 feet in front of my house. During that period I lost much of my memory. It was as if I had gone into old age dementia. Then physically I got better and for the past nearly 3 years I have been up and around. I now go to the gym 2-3 times a week, and I walk 3 miles 3 days a week. My mind was improving slowly, until I began to take Bacopa regularly (1 pill a day) since that time I have been recovering my ability to remember things and store new knowledge. I am even thinking of starting a new doctoral program. I have probably taken about 10 bottles of Bacopa, and the last 6 or 7 were this brand. There are some good write-ups on line about their processing, and about the location in the Himalayas where their source herbs are grown.

There are a few negatives related to taking Bacopa, however, that said, I do recommend it highly, and personally I have had very good results with this product. I most probably will continue to use it daily for the rest of my life. This said, I do recommend that you read all of the warnings before you start using it.

I really think this product works and it's a must in periods of intense stress like preparing for exams or intense school sessions, or even to boost your memory capacity. I explain: I'm currently studying to pass my Bar exam, and this has helped tremendously to stay focus and awake for a long time, I'm only sleeping a max of 4hours a night and I'm really awake throughout the day and have the impression really helps me to store the mass of information we have to for the Bar exam. I can see the difference when I'm not taking it because I just skipped 3 des last week and I was dreaded by 8pm, while on these I can run without problem until midnight. If these pills are really natural 100%, I'm amazed. I must say I usually don't take anything (natural products or vitamins or medicine) so I don't know because I have a drug free body that these have such a great impact . I would've loved to know about these even in my 20's (I'm 37). I do suggest trying them for mental focus and performance. I tried the aswaganda before and a Lion's mane supplement that is supposed to be a nature's nutrient for neurones but did not help like this one. It's a must and I do suggest you try it if in need of a boost of mental focus.
