This foam “ gap filler” is a GREAT idea! I have a mattress topper which migrates over to the side of the bed every time I climb into bed. ( “climb” being the operative word here) I am constantly having to pull the topper back into place from the opposite side of the bed, which is against a wall, so it’s REALLY inconvenient! Plus, the fitted sheets NEVER stay tucked in & are always coming off the top corners of the mattress. But NOT ANY MORE! This block of foam fits snuggly between the headboard & mattress & holds everything in place ( not perfect, but definitely better!) I don’t need to pull the mattress topper back into position as often & the fitted sheets stay fitted! Plus, stuff, like my phone, glasses, books etc) don’t migrate to the top of the bed & disappear into that place where I’m pretty sure socks go when put in the dryer.It shipped shrink- wrapped in plastic & puffed up to full size with about 15 minutes. I love this thing & I'm very happy I got it!
