Large Tablets, Lots of Bromelain. Odd Taste
These bromelain tablets are rather large--definitely bigger than I expected. Because they are uncoated tablets, I assumed I could chew these. Technically they are chewable, but the flavor tells me these are to be swallowed. The best way I can describe the flavor is they taste like the air in an old mom-and-pop pharmacy. Because of the size, they are a little bit harder to swallow, so have plenty of water available. The tablets are made with pineapple-sourced bromelain. Two tablets give you 2,000mg, which is a pretty good amount. I like pineapple, but I'd never be able to eat enough to get that much of the digestive enzyme! Bottle was safety sealed well, with shrink wrap on the cap and a foil under it. Lot and expiration date printed on the bottom. I feel safe taking these, and I am glad to add them to my routine.
