I purchased this Robotic Tabby Cat for a family member who has early on-set Alzheimers.  She has 2 real cats at her house and her life revolves around them.  Knowing that she would likely need to be placed in a care facility within two years, I purchased this Tabby Cat so that she would become familiar with it and maybe it would make her transition to a facility later on easier.  I wasn't sure how she would respond and if she'd think it would be a toy for a child.  She absolutely LOVED it!  We even placed it on the floor to see how the other cats would respond.  (They did check it out and it was cute).  She is in the mid to late stage of the disease and she loved the cat, talked to it, and pet it.  However, I'm not sure she fully understood it was Robotic at all times.  She asked me to "turn it off now" only once.  No doubt this was a great purchase!

I purchased as a gift for an out of state family member who is sort of house bound with his wife. While they do currently have two dogs, this dog is available when other dogs aren't interested in interacting with him. He currently is unable to recall what he named her. As a result,  little orphan Annie it is. Thanks so very much for this resource. Will continue to check for ideas as events change.  Thank you from NJ!
