Anyone who wants to have fun on a tennis court, anyone who wants to exercise, without going to a gym & anyone who wants to get better at tennis.
Who we want to be referred to
I have developed a system for teaching tennis called W5+H. As the director at NTA, I encourage my staff to focus on teaching players how to problem solve. Most coaches try to get a player to hit in a way the coach feels is aesthetically correct. I know, through experience, that if a player understands what he or she is attempting to accomplish, and why, the "how," as in technique, will very quickly fall into place. We accomplish this through scenario based games. So, our main objective is learning through fun. Remember, winning is fun, and winning is also a habit that is formed through repetition. Come have some fun with us and take your game to the next level. Aloha!
I was working in Hawai'i, at a beautiful club with 9 courts. I'd just won the assistant professional of the year award for HI, from the USPTA and was bringing a junior team to CA for a USTA sanctioned zonal tournament when, a former player I coached, reached out to me. We had the opportunity to start our own program at CSUN, with many more courts. Having grown up in So. Cal and getting to work with such a great friend, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to come back home. And tennis in CA is awesome!
