Relic of John Bosco’s right hand brought to city

The relic which is the hand of the Saint contained in the wax replica of his body, will be displayed at Don Bosco Technical School from October 1 to October 30.

SHILLONG:

The relic of the right hand of Saint John Bosco, popularly known as Don Bosco was brought to Shillong from Sohra on October 1 as part of the centenary celebration of the arrival of Salestian congregation in the North East.

The relic which is the hand of the Saint contained in the wax replica of his body, will be displayed at Don Bosco Technical School from October 1 to October 30.

The Provincial of Shillong Province, Father Paul Olphindro Lyngkot, informed that Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli will visit the state on October 29 and October 30.

He further informed that the Rector Major of Salestian, Father Angel Fernandes Artime, will arrive in Shillong and interact with the youth from October 27 to October 30.

Lyngkot has appealed to the Catholic faithful to visit the Don Bosco Technical School and take part in the prayers and intercession.
