Very often, portraying nature, artists and graphic artists are faced with several challenges that are not always possible to understand and digest with logic.
Let's take a simple example and try to draw the branches of bushes or trees. On the one hand, we seem – there is nothing easier than to make a number of lines and finally to a beautiful Bush. But not so simple. To begin to understand the principle on which grow branches, take the analogy of the same nature. Look carefully at the flash of lightning.
Please note that our lightning has a main trunk, at some point the trunk splits and then the same thing happens with every branch.
To begin let's draw here such a shapeless line. The more curves "maniobras" elements, the more interesting the result will be.
Will do the trunk at the base thicker and the thinner end.
The tree still resembles a river with tributaries, if you look at it from space.
When did a few main trunks, branches perishes side to make it thicker.
Now random all our main trunks.
Will draw branches so that they grow not from smooth areas of the trunk, and from the bends. This is a very important point.
Propagated branches at the ends of our tree. Look what happened! The higher the trunk, the more branches of bushes and the thicker crown. Because each leaf is located on the very edge of the smallest twigs – this is the essence of the tree – the leaves don't grow on trunks and thick branches. Wood is like a lightning, on the corner thin branches which grow level-the leaves.
That's the lesson. Practice often observe the world around you and you always succeed. After all, the pencil is merely an extension of our hand plus our infinite mind.
