Koeman already targeting Marko Arnautovic

Could the Austrian winger be the first signing under Koeman

According to reports it looks like Ronald Koeman is burning to get started at Everton with his £100 million funds promised by majority owner Farhad Moshiri. In attempting to improve the attack he seems ready to target forward Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City.

It looks like Arnautovic is ready to move on from the Potters after being unable to reach an extension with the club and having only one year left on his deal Stoke will need to sell him this summer or risk him leaving for free in the next offseason.

Valued at about £10 million, he is primarily a winger with some ability to play as a more central forward. Regardless of the future of Romelu Lukaku, it appears Arnautovic is being viewed as an answer on the left wing along with Kevin Mirallas.

Stoke bought the Austrian international for £2.8 million three seasons ago so they look ready to make a tidy profit on him, but seem likely to make one more run at signing him before opening offers to outside clubs.

With 11 goals and 6 assists in 34 Premier League games last season Arnautovic would be a huge addition to the left wing where Everton struggled to find a consistent contributor all of last season. He is 27 years of age, so not a youth signing by any means, but the Toffees need impact-now players and must be willing to sign older players with an increased budget.
