Up for sale here is a 1959-1960 Danelectro U-1 (or, if you prefer, a Silvertone 1419L).
Everything is original except the upgraded telecaster tuners. Single lipstick pickup, beautifully worn neck, extremely tastefully done pinstriping that I’m guessing was done by someone later as I’ve never seen another guitar like this. There is also a hole in the headstock that the previous owner suspected was placed there so that the guitar could be hung but it's not clear why this was done. In any case, it doesn't have any effect on the tuning or playing. Low, comfortable action and well-maintained.
