Allot of progress this week on the Reecard Farché Intonarumori.
This is the working title * name for this instrument, which is based on a mixture of the Intonarumori experimental musical instrument invented and built by the Italian futurist Luigi Russolo between roughly 1910 and 1930, and the Organistrum or The hurdy-gurdy.

A stringed instrument that produces sound by a hand crank-turned, rosined wheel rubbing against the strings. The wheel functions much like a violin bow, and single notes played on the instrument sound similar to those of a violin.
My version is a 9 string set tuned instrument that will be tuned to various just intonation tunings, it features 9 dc motors with 3d printed wheels on them, coated in liquid rosin as with the hurdey-gurdey the electronic motors are mounted on pivoting cradles that are then articulated by servo motors to bring them closer and further away from the strings, causing different resonance at different pressures, the motor speed will be controlled by a breath controller, and each motor will be brought closer to each string by pressing a button , 9 buttons in total for each string, the strings resonate and are attached to resonator plates that are then amplified out of the large 3d printed horn, then via microphones and maybe pickups, will be sent through many chains off effects witch will be modulated via @Cycling ‘74 max msp, in a similar fashion to my voice in my other instruments such as my microphone system facécontrol 6, using @xiotechnologies #imu unit’s onboard sensing capabilities along with many other inputs from other sensors funnelled through #teensy and sent wirelessly to max as #osc
The whole instrument is designed in #Rhinoceros3d all parts are 3d printed on either my fdm machines artillery sidewinder x1 or creality cr10 s5, Mono X or transform Dlp machines here in my workshop as-well as many cnc machined components, also machined here in my workshop on my 3 axis 6040 cnc machine in different alloys.
